What tends to govern

Institutional properties rarely want to look fortified, but they do need defined boundaries and controlled entry. Ornamental systems with extended pickets or spear tops give a clear boundary while keeping sightlines open, which supports supervision as much as it does appearance.

Play areas, field enclosures and service yards on the same property often need different systems. Specifying them together keeps finishes consistent and simplifies later repairs.

This describes intended applications and available solutions. It does not reference completed Palisaro projects, because there are none to reference.

Governing priorities

  1. Sightlines and supervision
  2. Defined entry points without a fortified appearance
  3. Accessible route requirements at gates
  4. Durability in high-traffic areas
  5. Consistency of finish across a campus
